Subject: Pioneer Baseball ½ Ironman AZ Fundraiser Hello Pioneer Baseball Friends and Families, This fall we have an opportunity to begin raising funds for our 2023-2024 baseball season with the IRONMAN 70.3 Arizona (October 22) and IRONMAN Arizona (November 19) this fall! My name is Elaine Jung and my player is Ryan Jung who is now in his junior year and has been part of the baseball team for the last 2 years. When I was a freshman parent, I shared this volunteer/fundraising opportunity with members of the board not knowing if my son would make the team or not come spring of 2022. The best advice that was shared with me is that fundraising for the booster club is more than just baseball, but a way of being part of the Pinnacle community! With that, I hope you/your family, player or friends that need volunteer hours will considering volunteering. ON DECK: IRONMAN 70.3 Arizona (October 22) This is a ½ IRONMAN event with the last shift ending at 5:30pm. Last year we had baseball families volunteer. A few players volunteered as well (as volunteers only and not a student baseball club sanctioned event)! Great way for those who need to fulfill required volunteer hours! NOTE: All volunteers will be required to complete a volunteer background check. There will be a few questions/sections at this point in the sign up. THIS IS NOT A CREDIT CHECK OR EMPLOYER BACKGROUND CHECK. Ironman (the company) is requiring this for their insurance purposes to flag them of potential child predators. They have many children/young adults that volunteer and their safety is of utmost importance to the group. Step 5: Click “Sign Up to Volunteer” at the bottom and you are registered!
